Jets' Sheldon Richardson will be suspended for one game

New York Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson has been suspended for one game for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

What It Means:

The suspension is the result of a traffic incident last summer in which Richardson allegedly drove up to 143 miles per hour and attempted to flee from the officer who was pulling him over.

Off-field issues aside, Richardson was outstanding in 2015. He totaled 35 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles, helping the Jets finish sixth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
