Jets expected to have tough time re-signing Damon Harrison

Impending free agent defensive tackle Damon Harrison may be out of the New York Jets' price range this summer, with the New York Daily News expecting it to be "tough" for the Jets to re-sign their nose tackle.

What It Means:

The Jets have to find a way to retain fellow defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson while defensive end Sheldon Richardson is entering a contract year. Although Jets coach Todd Bowles has been open about his hopes of retaining Harrison, the two-down run stuffer is likely to fetch a big deal on the open market.

The Jets had one of the league's top defenses in 2015, finishing the year ranked sixth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
