Lions' T.J. Hockenson has record-setting tight end debut
Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson caught 6 passes (9 targets) for 131 yards and 1 touchdown in a 27-27 Week 1 tie with the Arizona Cardinals.
Hockenson set the record for most receiving yards by a tight end in their first career game during the Super Bowl era. It also was the first 100-yard performance by a Lions tight end since the final game of the 2011 season. Rookies at Hockenson's position tend to struggle, but the first-rounder appears more than capable of bucking that trend. The Lions host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.
Hockenson is currently second among tight ends in Week 1 with 22.1 FanDuel points.
