Hornets' Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will miss remainder of 2017-18 season

Charlotte Hornets guard Michael Carter-Williams suffered a posterior labral tear of his left shoulder, and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

What It Means:

Carter-Williams underwent an MRI to confirm the injury. The shoulder issue arose from a March 4th game against the Toronto Raptors. In his stead, rookie Malik Monk will more than likely operate as the team's backup point guard.

Carter-Williams will finish the season with 4.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 16.1 minutes per game in 52 games.
