Pelicans' Alexis Ajinca (knee) to remain out Wednesday
New Orleans Pelicans center Alexis Ajinca will remain out on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets.
Ajinca underwent injections to his knee back in late October, and he was expected to miss just 4-to-6 weeks. It's now been more than six weeks and there hasn't been a projected timetable for his return. DeMarcus Cousins will continue to play big minutes as Omer Asik and Cheick Diallo serve as the Pelicans' backup centers.
Ajinca averaged 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 15.0 minutes per game over 39 games a year ago.
