Cavaliers' J.R. Smith scores 10 in first run as sixth man

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith contributed 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting in Tuesday's 102-99 win against the Boston Celtics.

What It Means:

With Dwyane Wade getting the starting nod at shooting guard, Smith will be asked to serve as the team's first or second player off the bench this season. In that role, he's expected to do a lot of playmaking and scoring for Cleveland. He was surprisingly effective and efficient at it in game number one. In 22 minutes, he scored more points than Wade all the while adding four rebounds and one assist in the winning effort.

After posting 16.3 FanDuel points at $3,400, we project Smith for 16.5 FanDuel points in 24.7 minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
