Utah's Dante Exum (shoulder) to undergo surgery
Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum will undergo surgery in order stabilize the AC joint in his left shoulder.
What It Means:
Exum will miss extended time following the surgery, with a very real possibility that he ends up sidelined for the entirety of the 2017-18 season. This leaves Raul neto, Donovan Mitchell and Alec Burks competing for the backup point guard minutes behind Ricky Rubio.
numberFire's models expect Mitchell to see the most playing time in that trio, projecting him for 8.4 points and 2.6 assists in 20.5 minutes per game this season.
