Dwyane Wade will start at shooting guard for the Cavs this season
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue confirmed guard Dwyane Wade would be the team's starting shooting guard this season, per Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.
The move shifts J.R. Smith to the second unit but with the Cavs gearing up for the postseason, expect Smith to earn plenty of starts this season as Wade gets days off. The veteran guard is expected to play around 30 minutes per game, just like he did last season with the Chicago Bulls.
Our models project Wade for 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 42.9% from the floor in 2017-18.
