Wizards' Scott Brooks unhappy with Marcin Gortat's play
Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said on Thursday that center Marcin Gortat "needs to play better."
Brooks also said "we've got some options", possibly hinting at increased minutes for Jason Smith, Ian Mahinmi and Markieff Morris moving forward. Gortat's minutes have fallen in a pretty big way recently, averaging only 20.6 minutes per game over his last four.
Despite the recent struggles, Gortat has averaged 10.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 31.8 minutes per game on the season. He ranks fourth among Wizards players and 76th in the NBA with a 2.3 nERD.
