Brett Brown says Joel Embiid will be focal point of Sixers' offense
Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown expects center Joel Embiid to be the focal point on offense and defense.
Brown has been singing high praises of Embiid so far through training camp and the first three preseason games, even comparing his raw talent and potential to that of a young Tim Duncan. The hype is growing and Embiid has played well in limited preseason action, but the injury risk and the Sixers crowded frontcourt make it hard to buy in completely on Embiid being the go-to guy in the Philly offense from the start.
Through three preseason games Embiid is averaging 7.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 12 minutes per game. However, he has a true shooting percentage of just 45.1 percent in those three preseason games.
