Salah Mejri agrees to a deal with the Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have come to an agreement on a deal with 7'1" Tunisian center, Salah Mejri. He's still under contract to remain playing in Spain, but Dallas has the option to buy him out.
What It Means:
With Real Madrid last season, Mejri (29) averaged 4.4 points, 2.3 boards and 0.8 blocks in 9.6 minutes per game. His versatility could help him find playing time in the NBA; he can finish at the rim at one end of the court and protect it at the other, including a specialty at the pick-an-roll. He can also dribble and pass well for a man of his size.
If the Mavs buyout his european contract, he could actually have a chance at garnering some playing time next season due to the dearth of big men in Dallas.
