Hassan Whiteside will re-sign with the Miami Heat
Free agent center Hassan Whiteside took to Snapchat to announce that he will re-sign with the Miami Heat.
What It Means:
Whiteside was expected to be a popular target in free agency, and there were some concerns about Miami's ability to pay him as much as some other teams. The deal will reportedly be for four years and $98 million.
The volatile Whiteside finished the season with a 12.4 nERD, good for ninth in the NBA, while averaging 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and a league-best 3.7 blocks per game.
