San Antonio's Danny Green erupts for 20 points, six 3-pointers
San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green hit six 3-pointers in Tuesday's Game 5 loss, finishing with 20 points, three boards, one assist, two steals and one block in 29 minutes.
What It Means:
He was scoreless in 28 minutes in Game 4, so of course he went off in this one. Consistency has been Green's biggest weakness all season, and it hasn't changed in the playoffs. On a side note, Green now has five games in his career with six or more 3-pointers, trailing only Stephen Curry (12), Ray Allen (10), Reggie Miller (6) and Klay Thompson (6).
Green ended the regular season with a 0.1 nERD, which ranked 79th. A 3-point shooter by trade, he posted career-low marks in 3-point percentage (33.2) and Effective Field Goal Percentage (48.0). Green had per-game averages of 7.2 points, 3.8 boards and 1.8 assists.
