Cleveland's Channing Frye nets 12 points off the bench

Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Channing Frye came off Cleveland's bench on Wednesday to net 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, adding five boards, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes of action.

What It Means:

Cleveland hit 18 3-pointers in the first half thanks to solid ball-movement and unconscious shooting. Frye merely picked up where the starters left off. Richard Jefferson added eight points with three 3-pointers, Iman Shumpert scored seven points on 3-of-3 shooting and even Dahntay Jones got into the mix with three points -- his only make was the 3-pointer that broke the previous NBA record for most treys made in a game.

A midseason acquisition, Frye was brought in for his ability to knock down shots (and thereby space the floor). In 26 games with the Cavs, he owns a superb 57.5 Effective Field Goal Percentage.
