Damian Lillard scores 28 for Portland in series clinching Game 6
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard scored 28 points in a series-clinching 106-103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, adding five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.
Lillard was much more successful from the field in the last two games of the series while not being defended by Chris Paul, and it will be interesting how he performs in the next round with Stephen Curry out for at least the first three or four games.
Lillard finished the series averaging 22.0 points, 5.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. His Effective Field Goal Percentage in the series was only 44.8 percent, but in the final two games where he wasn't defended by Paul, it shot up to 50 percent.
