Chicago's Pau Gasol (hand) remains questionable Friday
Chicago Bulls forward/center Pau Gasol (hand) is still considered questionable for Friday's game versus the Denver Nuggets.
Gasol is battling a left-hand sprain, and it's looking like he'll be a game-time call. Chicago can't afford to lose any more of their big men to injury. Taj Gibson and Bobby Portis could be looking at heavy minutes if Gasol is out. It's also possible the Bulls choose to go small, using Doug McDermott at the four.
Gasol has a solid 6.3 nERD, which ranks 24th, in 46 games played this season. He's averaging 16.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks per game while posting a 52.8 True Shooting Percentage. If he's able to play Friday, we project him to score 17.7 points, grab 10.8 boards and dish out 2.9 assists while shooting 49.0 percent from the floor.
