Ricky Rubio (ankle) will start for Timberwolves, LaVine to bench
Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio will start against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, sending Zach LaVine to the bench.
Rubio has missed two straight games and six on the season, but he did say he could have played against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, so he's probably just about 100 percent for tonight's friendly matchup with the Magic. LaVine takes a pretty significant hit to his value.
Rubio has been solid when he's suited up, ranking 65th with a 1.4 nERD. His 101 defensive rating and 106 offensive rating are both the fourth-best on the team. He ranks third on the team with .133 win shares per 48 minutes. We expect him to have 11.7 points, 6.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals against the Magic on Tuesday.
