5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 2/13/23

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.

If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.

Mark Williams, C, Charlotte Hornets
Gordon Hayward, SF/SG, Charlotte Hornets

Williams' FanDuel Salary: $5,200
Hayward's FanDuel Salary: $5,200

Sitting at the top of the value projections at numberFire today is Mark Williams (6.27 FanDuel points per $1,000), and teammate Gordon Hayward (5.37) has a top-10 value rating, too.

The Charlotte Hornets host the Atlanta Hawks in the game with the highest total of the night (240.0), so that checks out.

Williams and Hayward will be starting -- a given for Hayward and a result of the trade of Mason Plumlee for Williams.

In four games with at least 20 minutes (Williams is projected for 27.3 tonight), Williams has maintained an elite per-minute output of 1.22 FanDuel points.

As for Hayward, he is a consistent producer who has generated at least 24.6 FanDuel points in three straight and 24.9 FanDuel points per game against teams not in the top 10 in defensive rating.

Drew Eubanks, C/PF, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel Salary: $4,600

With Jusuf Nurkic missing the past five games, we have seen Drew Eubanks draw five consecutive starts (and six over the past eight games). When Nurkic misses, Eubanks starts.

That's led to 11 starts this season. In those 11 starts, Eubanks has averaged 25.8 minutes, 8.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 steals and blocks per game for 21.9 FanDuel points per contest. That works out to 0.85 FanDuel points per minute.

Tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers in a game with a robust total of 238.0, a good sign for Eubanks' fantasy potential.

The individual matchup, spread, and total give Eubanks one of the best composite matchups of the entire night.

Bennedict Mathurin, SG/SF, Indiana Pacers

FanDuel Salary: $4,400

The Indiana Pacers have some key questionable tags tonight, including Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner.

Even with both projected to play early in the day, Bennedict Mathurin is rating out as a top-three value in numberFire's projections.

Mathurin has cleared 30 minutes in two straight games, taking 15 and 18 shot attempts in those to rack up at least 27.6 FanDuel points in each. The salary is scaling back down and has not adjusted from its recent low-water mark and remains at $4,400.

There's tangible upside available for Mathurin if Haliburton in particular is out, yet the rookie is viable even if Haliburton suits up -- given the projection.

Collin Sexton, SG, Utah Jazz

FanDuel Salary: $5,500

On the other side of that game, we can target Collin Sexton, too.

Sexton is projected for 32.2 minutes and 29.1 FanDuel points (for 5.29 per $1,000) in a game with a nice 237.5-point total and a 1.0-point spread. That's a great game-stacking environment.

Sexton, in nine games with at least 30 minutes played this season, has averaged 12.3 shot attempts for 19.0 points per game. He's also added 3.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.0 combined steals and blocks for 31.2 FanDuel points per game. That's 0.95 FanDuel points per minute, and the Pacers are just 23rd in defensive rating.
