Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Davis Bertans, Over 14.5 Points

Davis Bertans is averaging 19 points per game in two contests versus the Chicago Bulls this season and is one game away from his first All-Star Weekend. Bertans will be in the three-point contest, and although his over/under on three-pointers tonight would have been cool, his line is set at 3.5.

In his first season with the Washington Wizards, Bertans is averaging career-highs in points (15.1), three-pointers made (3.6), three-point attempts (8.4), and three-point percentage (43.1%).

Bertans has scored 15 or more points in three straight games and hit that mark six times in his last nine games. The Bulls allow 20.73 points to small forwards (19th) and the most to power forwards (24.75) across the league. Washington will also be at home tonight, where Bertans is averaging 16 points per game on the season.

James Harden, Over 31.5 Points

James Harden's point total is at its lowest of the season, and that's cause for concern. However, Harden's usage rating is third in the league (35.9%), and he still leads the league with 35.2 points per game. Over his last five games, he's gone over 31.5 points three times and averaged 30.8. Harden has also gone for 28, 35, and 40 points (twice) in his last four home games and averaged 34.8 on the season.

In two games versus Boston last season, Harden averaged 43.5 points, and versus the Eastern Conference this season, he's been dominate this season. Over his last seven games versus East opponents, he's averaging an insane 45.2 points per game and recorded at least 39 points in all seven.

numberFire's model backs Harden's success against the East by projecting 34 points versus Boston, hitting the over.

Joel Embiid, Over 11.5 Rebounds

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have a colossal matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers at the Wells Fargo Center. This will be the first meeting between both teams, but Embiid recorded 36.5 points and 16 rebounds in two games last season.

At home, the 76ers have been dominant, and Embiid's averaged 11.8 rebounds per game and 11.7 off one day of rest. In the 76ers' 14 losses, Embiid's averaged 13.5 rebounds, and this will certainly be one of the toughest home games all season.

The Clippers allow the fifth-most rebounds per game to centers (16.27) and allow 11 offensive rebounds per game (26th). Embiid ranks 13th in the league with 2.7 offensive rebounds per game, which could be the difference between 10 and 12 rebounds.

numberFire projects Embiid for the second-most rebounds tonight (11.9) behind Hassan Whiteside. If that projection holds true, Embiid would hit over 11.5 rebounds for the fourth time in five games.
