NBA
3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Players to Avoid on 12/13/17
Could Bradley Beal's fantasy value take a hit Wednesday with the potential return of John Wall?

In daily fantasy basketball, finding players you want to roster is a lot easier than finding players to avoid.

You can find a ton of great information and research on guys you might want to include in your DFS NBA lineups, but what about guys you may want to lessen your exposure to -- or even fade altogether?

Avoiding players whose matchups or situations aren't as great as they seem can often be just as important as finding the best targets. After all, it only takes one player to sink a lineup. Searching for the landmines could mean the difference from winning or losing your contests.

Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards

FanDuel Price: $8,600

Bradley Beal is coming off an 11-for-33 shooting performance on Tuesday night for the Washington Wizards in a loss. On Wednesday night not only does Beal have to contend with a tougher matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, but there is also a good chance John Wall makes his return on Wednesday.

Beal has been firing at will with Wall out of the lineup, but according to NBA Wowy, Beal's usage rate drops nearly a full six percentage points when Wall is on the court.

Combine that with the back-to-back and a bad matchup, and Beal's price tag suddenly seems very high. The Grizzlies are holding shooting guards to 0.79 FanDuel points per minute, so assuming Wall is back, it might be best to avoid Beal on Wednesday.

Marvin Williams, PF, Charlotte Hornets

FanDuel Price: $4,900

Marvin Williams has put up two pretty strong games in a row for the Charlotte Hornets, but his matchup against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday is less than ideal.

The Rockets are holding power forwards to just 0.86 FanDuel points per minute, and they present some tough defense matchups for Williams with Luc Mbah a Moute and P.J. Tucker available off the bench.

The last time these two teams played back in November, Williams was held to just 3 points and 2 rebounds over 26 minutes in Charlotte. Williams is a risky play tonight.

Josh Jackson, SF, Phoenix Suns

FanDuel Price: $4,700

Josh Jackson has struggled moving into the starting lineup with the injury to Devin Booker, and tonight he is up against a very tough defensive matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

Toronto is holding small forwards to 0.7 FanDuel points per minute, so with Jackson onyl shooting 36.2% shooting in six games this month, it's best to avoid him on the big Wednesday slate.
