NFL
Between the Lines: Week 16 Snap Count Analysis
Robby Anderson has rarely left the field over the last two weeks and could be poised to finish the year on a high note against the Patriots.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills - Croom Boom

Quarterbacks: Josh Allen (100%),

Running Backs: LeSean McCoy (51%) Keith Ford (49%)

Wide Receivers: Zay Jones (100%), Robert Foster (97%), Isaiah McKenzie (64%), Deonte Thompson (18%),

Tight End: Jason Croom (72%), Logan Thomas (43%)

Buffalo Bills tight end Jason Croom has appeared to have taken over the TE1 duties. Charles Clay was a healthy scratch in Week 16, and Croom ended up playing a season-high 72% of the team's snaps. The Bills don't often utilize their tight end, but Croom was able to catch 4-of-6 passes for 55 yards. He did lose a fumble, unfortunately, dropping his PPR output to 7.5 points. He's not a great option this week, though the Miami Dolphins have given up four touchdowns to tight ends in the past five weeks.

Miami Dolphins - Hard to Trust

Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill (100%)

Running Backs: Kenyan Drake (85%), Kalen Ballage (30%), Brandon Bolden (17%)

Wide Receivers: Kenny Stills (80%), DeVante Parker (70%), Danny Amendola (67%), Brice Butler (30%)

Tight Ends: Durham Smythe (50%), Nick O'Leary (35%), Michael Gesicki (35%)

The Miami Dolphins totaled just 175 yards when they faced the Buffalo Bills a few weeks ago. It's hard to see them doing much better this week. The game has a total set at just 38.5 points, lowest in the league. The high temperature for game time is supposed to be 29 degrees, 24 at kickoff. The Dolphins are 8-16 all-time in games with temperatures of 30 degrees Fahrenheit or colder. It's hard to trust anybody here.

New England Patriots - Burkhead Continues Climb

Quarterback: Tom Brady (88%), Brian Hoyer (12%)

Running Backs: James White (39%), Rex Burkhead (33%), Sony Michel (31%)

Wide Receivers: Chris Hogan (83%), Julian Edelman (77%), Phillip Dorsett (36%), Cordarrelle Patterson (23%)

Tight End: Rob Gronkowski (79%), Dwayne Allen (49%)

Four weeks removed from his injury, New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead has fully proven himself to be an integral part of the team's offense. He played a season-high 33% of the team's snaps and took advantage of the extra playing time, rushing 13 times for 39 yards and adding another 40 yards through the air on 4 receptions. There's no reason to think he'll be sitting this week as the Pats need a win to ensure the number two seed in the AFC.

New York Jets - Robby Rises

Quarterback: Sam Darnold (100%)

Running Backs: Elijah McGuire (85%), Trenton Cannon (30%)

Wide Receivers: Robby Anderson (93%), Jermaine Kearse (57%), Andre Roberts (40%), Deontay Burnett (37%), Charone Peake (15%)

Tight Ends: Chris Herndon (65%), Eric Tomlinson (28%), Jordan Leggett (27%)

Robby Anderson saw 93% of the team's offensive snaps this week, the second week in a row that he's topped 90%. He's not out there as just a decoy -- far from it. He caught 9-of-13 targets for 140 yards and a score, setting season bests in catches, receptions, and yards. He and Sam Darnold are clearly on the same page, and they'll look to go out on a high note in a division matchup against the Pats this week.
