If the things your old-school uncle says win championships were actually the most important parts of football, the Buffalo Bills would be in really good shape.

The Buffalo defense has been strong all year, ranking sixth in NEP, while the Bills have also been a solid running team. Thanks in part to Josh Allen and his best Michael Vick impression, Buffalo is tied for 16th in rushing NEP per carry.

Unfortunately, in reality, passing the ball is the most important to success in modern football, which is why the Bills are still near the bottom of these rankings. Only Arizona has been worse in terms of Passing NEP per dropbback, as while Allen has produced 35.0 NEP on the ground, his passes have been worth -10.5.
