5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 8
DeAndre Hopkins ran his streak of regular-season games with at least 50 receiving yards to 17 in a row. Which other notable stats can you take away from Week 8?

DeAndre Hopkins Has 17 Straight Games of at Least 50 Yards

It wasn't his biggest game of the season, but Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins stood out once again in his team's victory over the freefalling Miami Dolphins.

Hopkins finished the night with 6 receptions for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hopkins has now gone for more than 50 yards receiving in his last 17 regular-season games. This is the longest active streak in the NFL. Hopkins saw seven targets in total, the second-fewest in any game this season. But it still equated to a nice target share on a night when Deshaun Watson attempted a mere 20 passes.

Hopkins has eclipsed 20 PPR points in four of his eight games so in 2018. He could also be in for a much bigger workload in the coming weeks as the Texans lost Will Fuller to a season-ending injury.

This lack of any tested competition for Hopkins makes it likely he'll get plenty of chances to extend his 50-yard streak. The Denver Broncos, Houston's next foe, have allowed at least 50 yards in a game to 11 wide receivers in 2018, with four going for at least 107 yards.
