3 Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Options for Week 1
A depleted Jaguars receiving corps and a prime matchup with the Giants makes Austin Seferian-Jenkins an ideal streaming option. Which other lower-owned tight ends should you deploy to start the season?

When streaming tight ends, we look for players with an opportunity for volume against a generous opponent. With the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the New York Giants in Week 1, Austin Seferian-Jenkins jumps to the top of the list.

While the Jaguars didn't overwhelm their tight ends with targets in 2017 (79 total), they did turn to Marcedes Lewis and company on a regular basis in the red zone. Over 20% of their tight end corps' targets came within 20 yards of pay dirt. Lewis cashed in with five scores all by himself last season. And that leaves ASJ with plenty of quality looks in Jacksonville's offense.

To go with the quality, Seferian-Jenkins could see plenty of quantity in Jacksonville, too, as Blake Bortles' passing options leave a lot to be desired, following the season-ending injury to Marqise Lee and the departure of Allen Hurns. Those two wideouts represented nearly 30% of the Jaguars' targets in 2017, leaving a sizable hole for Seferian-Jenkins to fill in the offense. The former New York Jets tight end could quickly become Bortle's favorite target not just near the end zone but any time he drops back to pass. Week 1 against the Giants provides the dream matchup to start his Jags career on the right track.

In 2017, the Giants ranked second in fantasy points allowed to tight ends as no other team gave up more scores (12) to the position. While they did make some moves to improve their linebacking corps until they prove they can hold their own, the Giants will regularly be a team to target when streaming tight ends.
