NBA
Daily Fantasy Basketball Injury Report: Friday 12/30/16

Believe it or not, but we are approaching the halfway mark in the NBA season. The dog days of January are right around the corner and we have a ton of meaningful NBA injuries on some of these player's final games in 2016.

Notable Injuries

Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Paul returned on Wednesday, but he will not play on Friday night after a flare up with his hamstring. The Los Angeles Clippers will get J.J. Redick back tonight, and his return is much needed. Along with Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers, these three will have to carry the load for the Clips against the Houston Rockets.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are missing several key role players tonight which could very easily open up some tournament-winning value plays on Friday. Sergio Rodriguez, Richaun Holmes and Gerald Henderson are all out tonight, but the biggest of those names is easily Rodriguez. T.J. McConnell might be a top value play tonight, and he'll have Joel Embiid to help him rack up assists. Jahlil Okafor is also good to go after leaving Thursday's game with a hamstring injury.

Dallas Mavericks

Dirk Nowitzki is still dealing with an illness, and it looks like he could come down to a game-time decision. Andrew Bogut will not play Friday against his former team. If Nowitzki also sits, Dwight Powell and Harrison Barnes will see a nice boost in a pace-up game.

Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard is doubtful after not practicing on Thursday, so if he is out again, C.J. McCollum will once again have an extremely high usage. Allen Crabbe had a nice game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday and should continue to start while Evan Turner will pick up more usage off the bench.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal did not participate in morning shootaround, and he is officially a game-time decision on Friday for the Washington Wizards. If he misses, John Wall will be extremely busy while Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter will likely pick up a few more shots. Sheldon McClellan is expected to start if Beal sits while Marcus Thornton should see a few more minutes off the bench.

Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs

Kawhi Leonard missed Wednesday's game with an illness, but he is not on the injury report Friday, so we expect him to play tonight.

Goran Dragic, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic made his return from a one-game absence with back spasms last night, but he left the game early after his back tighten up. He probably wasn't ready to play anyway and that makes his chances to play tonight pretty questionable. Look for another update closer to roster lock. If Dragic is out, Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson will benefit the most.

Courtney Lee, New York Knicks

Courtney Lee is questionable on Friday as he is still dealing with a sore wrist. Sasha Vujacic started and played 27 minutes Wednesday with Lee out against the Atlanta Hawks, but he was only 1 for 7 and pretty ineffective. Justin Holiday played 34 minutes off the bench and scored 14 points with 4 assists, and he is the much better DFS option if Lee is out.

Milwaukee Bucks

Matthew Dellavedova will sit out Friday with a hamstring injury, but the Milwaukee Bucks will get back Mirza Teletovic tonight as he has passed the league's concussion protocol. Without Dellavedova, Malcolm Brogdon could be a fine value play on Friday.

Patrick Beverley, Houston Rockets

Patrick Beverley will make his return on Friday after a one game absence. He should jump back in the starting lineup.

Joe Harris, Brooklyn Nets

Joe Harris only participated in non-contact parts of practice on Thursday, so he looks questionable to play tonight. If he is out again, Randy Foye will likely be the best value option from Brooklyn, but he is only a tournament flier.
