NBA Market Share Report: Don't Be Late to the Luka Doncic Party
The excitement and intrigue surrounding Luka Doncic makes him hard to pass up, even as we wait for consistency. What else can we note after a week-and-a-half of NBA DFS action?

A Luka Luau

Even a brief glimpse of his game reassures us that Luka Doncic has all the tools to be an awesome fantasy piece. Not to mention, with coach Rick Carlisle and the Dallas Mavericks deciding to ride the Luka Express wherever it may lead, we’re completely safe betting on his high usage and 34.5 minutes per game.

Despite having years of pro experience under his belt, Doncic is still just 19 years old and playing in a completely different pro atmosphere. Patience is key as we await the mega stat lines, for now just coasting on the rook as he gains his footing -- in pretty remarkable fashion -- and begins stringing together efficient production at a regular pace.

Priced above the $8,000 mark feels a little steep, only because we’ve seen Doncic reach at least five-times value just once through four games. That said, he provides a sort of bonus with more than six rebounds per game, which is awesome for FanDuel’s two-guard position, and we still have the usage and his natural play-making ability to bank on.

Holding off until the consistency shows up is understandable, but the intrigue and excitement may not allow for you to be late to the party.

Doncic and the Mavs visit the Raptors on Friday before facing the Jazz, Spurs, and Lakers to close out the month.
