MLB Player Prop Bets to Target on Thursday 6/29/23

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash) to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing our projections as a guide and looking at the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, here are some spots where you can find value today in the prop-betting market.

Here are some MLB player prop bets to make tonight.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Mookie Betts To Record 2+ Hits (+130)

Stop me if you've heard this before -- Mookie Betts is elite.

Betts continues to be one of the best hitters in the league, and he's visiting the Rockies at Coors Field, giving us a great spot to target. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a massive 6.93 implied run total tonight, and given their offensive strength, they could pass that in a hurry.

Chase Anderson will be on the mound for the Rockies, making this a super favorable matchup for the Dodgers. This season, Anderson allows a .352 wOBA, .383 SLG, 5.05 xFIP, 1.90 HR/9, and 37.7% fly-ball rate versus right-handed hitters. There's legitimately nothing to be worried about with Anderson, and we should see plenty of offense from the Dodgers.

Mookie to record at least hits at +130 is much more favorable than Mookie to record at least two total bases at -170. I'm shooting for the solid plus money. To this point in the year, Mookie comes in with a 122 wRC+, .351 wOBA, .213 ISO, .263 BABIP, 46.4% fly-ball rate, and 39.7% hard-contact rate versus right-handed pitchers.

This is as straightforward of a bet as you will see today.

Kyle Tucker To Record 2+ Total Bases (-125)

Next up, we're turning to Kyle Tucker in a truly strong matchup versus Adam Wainwright.

The Houston Astros have a 4.87 implied run total, and there are some player props we should look to target. Wainwright has struggled this season by allowing a .483 wOBA, .720 SLG, 6.07 xFIP, .400 BABIP, 2.29 HR/9, and 40.5% fly-ball rate versus left-handed hitters. These might be some of the worst numbers you will find from pitchers on tonight's slate, so we can't pass up this juicy matchup.

Tucker is rocking a 109 wRC+, .326 wOBA, .166 ISO, low 15.4% strikeout rate, 39.5% fly-ball rate, and 37.0% hard-contact rate versus right-handed pitchers. With that low strikeout rate, Tucker isn't wasting chances at the plate and is always able to put the ball in play. That should give him plenty of chances to rack up some bases tonight.
