Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 3
Josh Donaldson's batted-ball profile says he's locked in despite his mediocre results. Which other hitters should be ready to bust out in DFS in Week 3?

Nomar Mazara, OF, Texas Rangers

Surface statistics show more of the same blandness from Nomar Mazara, who deflated hopes for a breakout with a mediocre .258/.317./436 showing in 2018 and continues to underwhelm with a .238/.333/.452 line across 48 plate appearances to begin 2019.

Under the hood, however, the Texas Rangers' lefty shows a marked increase in fly balls and liners, bucking the ground-ball-heavy trend that capped his upside last year. His massive 51.5% hard-contact rate might very well be a figment of the small sample, but it could also portend the mashing campaign we've been waiting for.

With his price on FanDuel peaking in the mid-$3,000s and a full week at home in the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park, Mazara could make for an unglamorous but productive option for daily players.
