3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 8/30/18
Even on the road, Nolan Arenado offers huge upside against Padres southpaw Eric Lauer. Which other high-priced players should be on your radar?

Nolan Arenado, 3B, Colorado Rockies

Price: $4,200

The Colorado Rockies' offense can be anemic when they're away from home, ranking in the bottom-10 in road wOBA and wRC+, but their great matchup tonight helps make up for that.

San Diego Padres southpaw Eric Lauer has pitched 18 games in his rookie season, struggling to the tune of a 4.74 SIERA. He has allowed some big contact with a 39.4% hard-hit and 34.1% fly-ball rate. That hard-hit rate jumps slightly (to 40.2%) against right-handed bats, making this a juicy spot for lefty-masher Nolan Arenado.

Arenado leads qualifying hitters in both wOBA (.528) and ISO (.420) against southpaws this season. Yes, he benefits from regularly playing at Coors Field, but even looking at only his road numbers in the split, his .468 wOBA and .338 ISO remain elite.
