Fantasy Baseball: 5 Pitchers to Stream in Week 12
Jhoulys Chacin has a good chance to extend his recent stretch of strong work thanks to a fantasy-friendly two-start week. Which other pitchers are lighting up the waiver wire in Week 12?

Jhoulys Chacin, Milwaukee Brewers

Starts: June 18th at Pittsburgh Pirates, June 23rd vs. St. Louis Cardinals
ESPN percentage owned: 45.5%

Jhoulys Chacin was something of a favorite in this column when he was tossing for the San Diego Padres in their accommodating Petco Park. His move to the rather less accommodating Miller Park took him out of fantasy favor at the start of this season, though his recent stretch of strong work has made him something of a popular pickup.

Chacin boasts a 2.76 ERA over his last 29.1 innings, certified by a 2.85 fielding independent pitching (FIP), including a 2.60 ERA in 17.1 innings at Miller Park. Still, it's hard not to be a little suspicious of that home total, given that his 45.6% hard-contact rate allowed in the Miller Park sample has produced only three extra-base hits, none of them homers.

We have to anticipate some negative regression for Chacin, though streamers can certainly hope that that worm won't turn during this very attractive two-start week against two middle-of-the-road National League offenses. Be careful of that weekend start against St. Louis at Miller Park, though: the Cardinals have stroked an impressive 40.8% hard-hit rate against righties over the last month despite coming away with only a .135 group isolated slugging.

Chacin is a high-variance play this week, though the prospect of volume category help might be too good for needy streamers to pass up.
