4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 9/12/17
The Mets may be a bit of a mash unit, but Travis d'Arnaud could be primed for a big night. Who else makes for a sleeper play for Tuesday's MLB DFS contests?

Kyle Gibson, SP, Minnesota Twins

FanDuel Price: $7,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Corey Kluber and Clayton Kershaw on the same slate? Oh my. With these two studs going, plus Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, and Gio Gonzalez also taking the bump, ownership should be clustered around these high-priced studs.

Despite throwing the heck out of the ball lately, Kyle Gibson of the Minnesota Twins and his 5.19 ERA are likely to be overlooked.

Why You Should Use Him:

Gibson really struggled in the first half, allowing a .395 wOBA and 1.77 home runs per nine innings pitched, but he's been spectacular since the All-Star break.

In the second half, the right-hander has hiked his ground-ball rate from 50.7% to 53.7% while generating a double-digit swinging-strike rate five times over his last seven starts. Those improvements have led to a 3.50 ERA and 3.68 xFIP in 54 innings of work.

Tonight, he will face a San Diego Padres team that not only ranks 29th in team wOBA (.299), but also has no problem striking out (25.2%) this season.
