4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/19/17
Heating up recently after a slow start, Rougned Odor could be in line for a big night. Who else makes for a solid sleeper play on Friday's MLB DFS slate?

Nate Karns, SP, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $8,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jacob deGrom and Chris Sale will definitely be the chalky plays of the day -- both are expensive, installed as a heavy favorites, and make for great plays because of their potential to generate a ton of points.

Nate Karns and his 4.46 ERA probably won't be as heavily owned. The Kansas City Royals aren't favored on Friday evening, and they have struggled to a 17-23 start, making those extra six points for earning a win potentially elusive for Karns.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite not flashing the strongest traditional metrics, Karns has quietly pitched quite well this year. Over his first 40 1/3 innings pitched, he's posted a strong 3.20 SIERA to go with a 28.4% strikeout rate.

Coupled with a fairly low implied team total for the Minnesota Twins (4.00 runs), Karns could be a sneaky play with a pile of upside.
