5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/17/17
Ian Happ's salary is still barely above minimum salary tonight while the Cubs' offense is in a great spot with the wind blowing out in Wrigley. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Wednesday?

Michael Saunders, OF, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $2,600

While it's not quite the Cubs/Reds game, today's matchup between the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies also promises to be a good one for fantasy, with some shaky pitchers on both sides (Zach Eflin for the Phillies and Andrew Cashner for the Rangers) at the hitter-friendly Globe Life Park.

This game's 10.5 over/under second-highest mark of the day, and even as underdogs, the Phillies have a solid 5.01 implied total.

Cashner has a brutal 6.10 SIERA through six starts this season, and while that's not a big sample size, the 4.72 he posted in 2016 doesn't inspire any confidence, either. He has been especially bad against left-handed bats, as evidenced by a 6.18 xFIP.

Michael Saunders is no killer from the dish, but he can hold his own against right-handed pitching, tagging them for a 38.6% hard-hit rate in 2016 and opening 2017 with a 35.3% hard-hit rate.
