4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/14/17
Braves ace Julio Teheran takes the mound on a day filled with pitching studs. Which other MLB players could fly under the radar?

Julio Teheran, SP, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $8,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The best pitcher on the planet takes the mound on Friday, which automatically means many DFS players will find a way to shove Clayton Kershaw into lineups and build around him accordingly.

Outside of Kershaw, there's plenty of ace goodness to go around on Friday. Noah Syndergaard, Rick Porcello, Aaron Sanchez, and Chris Archer are also pitching and are priced above $9,000. With all of those excellent options, Julio Teheran, the 11th-most expensive pitcher on the slate, more than likely will fly below the fray.

Why You Should Use Him:

As good as all of the other options are on the slate, Teheran may be just as good as any of the other names mentioned. So far in 2017, he's compiled 13 shutout innings while striking out 10 batters. He's also recorded two straight quality starts, but his upside is a bit limited without being able to get wins. At the moment, the Atlanta Braves are favorites, with a -136 moneyline.

In addition to his hot start, he will face a San Diego Padres offense that really struggled at the plate last season. In 2016, they ranked 29th in wOBA and struck out a league-leading 25.0% of the time.
