Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown (quad) is expected to miss Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Bruce Arians said.
Brown's status "doesn't look hopeful," Arians said on Monday. He admitted on Friday that he "doesn't know" when Brown will be healthy. J.J. Nelson will continue to see more opportunity while playing opposite Larry Fitzgerald as the Cardinals number-two receiver.
Entering Week 2, Brown was 5th on the Cardinals with 0.33 Reception Net Expected Points per target, meaning a league average wide receiver would have scored 0.33 fewer points per target if put in similar situations.
