Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons will miss Sunday's pre-season game against the Green Bay Packers with turf toe, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Timmons suffered the injury last week during practice, forcing him to miss the team's second pre-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as well. Head coach Mike Tomlin has said he doesn't believe it to be a serious injury.
Timmons is projected to be a big-time contributor for the team (as always), as the algorithms slot him for 125 tackles, three sacks and three passes defended. The Steelers' defense took a step back last year, finishing 27th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. This included ranks of 26th against the pass and 13th against the run.
