Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray (ankle surgery) expects to be ready to go for training camp.
Murray's need for ankle surgery was known to the Vikings before they signed him, so there are no surprises here, and while he's expected to miss all of OTA's, it's encouraging that he's still on track to return in time for training camp.
The Vikings were the worst team in the NFL in schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season, so Murray should help. Among the 42 running backs with at least 100 rushing attempts in 2016, he finished 12th in Rushing NEP per attempt.
