Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker Justin Houston (knee) has been officially activated from the team's reserve/PUP list.
Wednesday was the deadline to prevent a lost season for Houston. It's unknown whether or not he will play Sunday for a road matchup with the Carolina Panthers, but he should be back next week if not. Houston is an elite addition to any defense.
The Chiefs currently rank fifth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) allowed per play this season. They are also fifth in terms of Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP allowed per play.
