James Cook (illness) back at Bills practice Thursday

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook (illness) returned to practice on Thursday for Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

What It Means:

Cook made it back to practice after sitting out Wednesday due to an illness. He set season-highs with 25 carries and 179 rushing yards in last week's dominant victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Bills are double-digit favorites against the Chargers, so Cook could see another hefty workload in a plus matchup.

Cook is the RB8 in numberFire's Week 16 rankings and our models project him for 14.8 FanDuel points, with 14.5 carries, 67.7 rushing yards, 3.3 receptions, and 29.4 receiving yards. The Chargers' run defense is 25th in our opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings and they allow the seventh-most FanDuel points per game to running backs.
