10 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 9
Melvin Gordon has been a disappointment all season. Is this the week he turns things around?

Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rookie quarterbacks are tough to trust in fantasy football, but Jameis Winston is in a great spot this week.

After turning the ball over eight times over his first four games, Winston has now been turnover free in each of his last three games.

This week he finds himself in a home game against the New York Giants -- yes the same Giants that surrendered seven touchdown passes to Drew Brees last week.

The defense's poor play last week was not an aberration. This team has struggled against the pass all season -- they rank 25th in terms of our Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play metric. Combined with the fact that they are coming off a crushing last-minute defeat last week, this sets up perfect for a breakout game for Winston.

Winston has been solid, if unspectacular over his last three contests, averaging 17 fantasy points per game. With big play targets like Mike Evans and -- if he returns as expected this week -- tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins to exploit the Giants' horrendous safety play, he should continue to produce this week for owners willing to take a risk on him.
