Fantasy Football: 7 Players to Avoid in Week 6
Which players are most likely to fall short of expectations in Week 6?

Josh McCown, QB, Cleveland Browns

After Week 5, Josh McCown ranked fifth among quarterbacks with 60-plus pass attempts in Passing NEP per play. That’s one spot higher than Aaron Rodgers, and behind only Ben Roethlisberger, Andy Dalton, Carson Palmer, and Tom Brady. He’s playing similarly to when he started for Chicago in 2013 when he was a so-called “product” of a Marc Trestman offense.

The issue here isn’t McCown, rather the Denver defense. It's the best pass defense by cumulative Defensive Passing NEP and on a per play basis, and should be able to contain Travis Benjamin and Gary Barnidge. We project McCown for 248.32 passing yards, 1.08 touchdowns, and 1.09 interceptions this weekend.
