5 Wide Receiver Training Camp Battles to Watch This Offseason
Which wide receiver training camp battles will be the most heated and heavily contested this offseason?

Philadelphia Eagles

At the end of OTAs, it looks more and more like Jordan Matthews will reprise his role in the slot for Philadelphia this season. And as far as certainty on this roster goes, that's about it for the Eagles.

For example, quarterback Sam Bradford -- whom Chip Kelly acquired at the cost of Nick Foles, a second-round draft pick, and a $13 million salary this season -- still must compete with Mark Sanchez for the starting job.

That right there should tell you everything you need to know about how the Eagles' offseason will go this year. Nothing on this team will be handed to anyone. Instead, every every snap, target, and carry must be earned.

This is even truer for the wide receiving group. Despite drafting an almost identical clone of Jeremy Maclin by taking Nelson Agholor in the first round, it looks like Maclin's looks on the outside will be up for grabs between the rookie out of USC, Riley Cooper, and Josh Huff.

While I fully expect Agholor to beat out Cooper for playing time this season -- our Reception worst starting receivers in 2014 -- it actually sounds like Huff, at least for now, is the one at the forefront of this three-headed competition.

And with Maclin's old role on this offense garnering 143 targets last season, this competition will be one to watch out for as it's clear whoever jockeys his way to the top of the depth chart will find himself in a very productive situation for 2015.
