5 Wide Receiver Training Camp Battles to Watch This Offseason
Which wide receiver training camp battles will be the most heated and heavily contested this offseason?

Indianapolis Colts

After showing flashes of greatness last season -- including torching Washington's secondary for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 13 -- and with the announcement that Reggie Wayne would not be returning to the Colts this year, the stage was set for Donte Moncrief to break out as T.Y. Hilton's running mate in 2015.

Moncrief's big play ability for the Colts in 2014 was reflected in his 0.73 Reception NEP per target score, ranking him in the top-third of all receivers with at least 40 targets last season.

But then the Colts signed the Texans' all-time leading receiver, Andre Johnson, to the roster, which they then followed up by drafting the speedster Phillip Dorsett out of Miami, and suddenly some serious doubt was cast on Moncrief's role in Indianapolis.

Now, Moncrief not only finds himself fighting for targets in this offense but also in an uphill battle just to stay relevant in this crowded wide receiver corps.

And with this Colts offense putting up a league-leading 690 pass attempts last year, and the Colts' top three wideouts receiving nearly half of these targets (316 out of 690), where each receiver lands on Indianapolis' depth chart will have huge implications on their output for 2015.
