With Greg Olson done for the year, Ian Thomas will likely step up into a bigger role. Which other low-owned tight ends are worth playing in Week 14?

Chris Herndon, New York Jets

Playable tight ends are few and far between on the waiver wire, but Chris Herndon is one of the few available streaming options who has been consistently seeing targets.

Over the last two weeks, the New York Jets' rookie has seen a total of 14 looks. That represents a bump in his season average (4.0 per game). Herndon is no newcomer to fantasy relevance, though, as has been a favorite of both Josh McCown and Sam Darnold over the last seven games. Since Week 6, the tight end has collected at least four targets in five of seven games.

He has been cashing in on all the action, piling up 23 catches, 298 yards, and 3 touchdowns in that span. For the season, Herndon sits just outside TE1 (top-12) status, but since Week 6, he is the TE9.

The Buffalo Bills, this week's foe, have done a solid job against tight ends -- sixth-fewest fantasy points allowed -- but with the Jets 3.5-point underdogs, we can expect plenty of throws to come Herndon’s way. The Jets have attempted an average of 37.5 passes per game over the last two games, and the tight end finished with the second-most targets on the team in Weeks 12 and 13.
