4 NFL FanDuel Tournament Pivots for Week 7
With some of the top names out and some other quarterbacks in big spots, Joe Flacco could fly under the radar in a great spot against the Saints.

Quarterback

Chalk

This week's slate has some interesting decisions that need to be made at the quarterback position. Our projected two highest scoring quarterbacks this week, Patrick Mahomes and Matt Ryan, are out of the picture on the main slate.

That leaves a few pretty obvious options at the QB slot, including Jared Goff, who's ready to take aim at a San Francisco 49ers defense that ranks 23rd overall in our metrics. We have Goff projected for 23.47 FanDuel points this week.

Goff and C.J. Beathard square off in a game with a 52.0 point total, and Beathard could be a trendy choice at only $6,400. He makes for a strong value play against a Los Angeles Rams defense that clocks in 22nd overall and 17th against the pass.

Pivot

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens: $7,500 (vs New Orleans Saints)

With a tasty matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Joe Flacco may get overlooked, but he could be in line for a big week. As the Ravens harassed the Titans for 11 sacks on their way to a 21-0 win, Flacco peppered the field for a modest 238 yards and one passing score.

Despite that average output, Flacco has already broken the 350 yard passing mark twice this season, and he takes aim at a Saints defense that has been extremely accommodating to opposing quarterbacks. This season, the Saints rank fourth-worst against the pass, and have been rinsed by Ryan Fitzpatrick (417 passing yards, 4 TDs) and Matt Ryan (374 yards, 5 TDs).

Flacco also seems re-energized with the addition of John Brown this past off-season, as he has shown no problem throwing the football deep. Flacco has improved his Average Intended Air Yards, which measures the average Air Yards a passer throws on all attempts (IAY), to a solid mark of 8.5.

We have Flacco pegged for 19.8 FanDuel points this week with upside for 32.8. This type of upside coupled with a lot of eyes on other quarterbacks makes him a very worth pivot in tournaments, especially if they get involved in a shoot-out with the Saints.
