5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 5
On Monday night, Drew Brees became the NFL's all-time leading passer with 72,103 career passing yards. What other statistical nuggets stand out after Week 5 of the 2018 season?

Zach Ertz Has Third 10-Catch Game of 2018

As mentioned, the Eagles have not enjoyed the best start to the Super Bowl defense, as they sit at 2-3 after five games. But tight end Zach Ertz has certainly been productive to start the year. He finished Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings with 10 receptions for 110 yards and his first touchdown catch of the season. It marked the third time this season that Ertz had caught at least 10 balls in a single game.

Ertz joins Tony Gonzalez (2000 and 2007) and Jason Witten (2010) as the only tight ends to have three 10-catch games in a single season since 1999. Ertz has 8 games with at least 10 receptions in his career, and trails only Gonzalez (15) and Witten (11) since 1999.

The Eagles and Ertz take on the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. The Giants have been gashed by tight ends over the last few years, but they have been slightly more stingy toward the position so far in 2018. They've allowed the second-fewest receptions to tight ends this season and are yet to allow a touchdown. However, Ertz's massive volume makes him a safe play, per usual.
