Fantasy Football: 10 Bold Predictions for Week 2
Week 1 gave us our first true look at player usage for the NFL season, so today we'll look for good opportunities that lie just below the surface. Who could come out of nowhere with a big showing this week?

A Price to Fade & A Price to Aid

Davante Adams Will Return 1x Value or Worse ($8,100 FanDuel)

Davante Adams is dealing with a shoulder injury suffered during the Green Bay Packers opening week win over Chicago. But that's just one of several reasons why Adams is unlikely to yield a strong performance in Week 2.

The Packers host the Minnesota Vikings for a divisional matchup where Adams will see heavy doses of cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes currently checks in as the 11th-highest graded cornerback per Pro Football Focus, so it's no surprise that Rhodes and the Vikings were able to put a lid on Jimmy Garoppolo and company in the opener.

On top of the tough matchup and a shoulder injury, Adams will either be playing with a hobbled Aaron Rodgers or a healthy DeShone Kizer. The uncertainty at the quarterback position limits Adams' ceiling in this game.

If Rodgers is able to play, look for him to get rid of the ball quickly, especially to his interior receivers Randall Cobb and Jimmy Graham. You should have limited -- if any -- exposure to Adams in your DFS lineups this week. I expect him to stay under 8.1 fantasy points for the 1x salary multiplier.

Duke Johnson Will Return 3x Value or Better ($5,200)

Duke Johnson struggled to stuff the stat sheet in Week 1 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Given 5 carries, he turned those into only 17 yards, while he turned his six targets into only one catch and eight yards. It was a day to forget for Johnson.

Now, Johnson travels t the Superdome to face a New Orleans Saints team that's a nine-point favorite and looking for their first win of the season.

The game script sets up nicely for Johnson to top the 46% of snaps he saw in Week 1 and be a major contributor in the passing game. He could easily draw double-digit targets in this one and be a mainstay on the field over the final three quarters.

Johnson's opportunity should rise and give him a very realistic chance to top 15.6 fantasy points for the 3x salary multiplier on FanDuel.
