Fantasy Football: One Running Back to Target in Each Round of Your Draft

Le'Veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

ADP: 1.02 (RB2)

The first round is darn near all running backs as 9 are coming off the board in the first 12 picks, and if you have the first pick, you'll likely be choosing between Todd Gurley and Le'Veon Bell.

Both are fantastic selections. But let's side with Bell, who all three of our expert rankers have as the overall RB1 and who our models have as the top PPR running back by a pretty comfortable margin. (You can tweak the settings in our draft kit to see our PPR projections.)

What separates Bell is his pass-catching prowess as we forecast him to haul in 82 passes, the most among running backs. He actually leads all players -- not just running backs -- in routes run per game across the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Bell finished as the PPR RB2 last year, and he led all backs in PPR points per game (26.4) in a 12-game season in 2016. He's a volume monster on one of the league's best offenses.

While you can certainly make a case for Gurley as the first overall pick, the Los Angeles Rams and Gurley are likely headed for some negative regression -- the Rams with injury luck and Gurley in the touchdown department.

Our models project Bell for 1,399 rushing yards and 10.15 scores on the ground in addition to 82 catches, 663 yards and 2.79 touchdowns as a receiver.
