Fantasy Football: 4 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Super Bowl LII
What do the odds say about the Super Bowl for certain players -- such as Alshon Jeffery's performance as an underdog -- and how can your fantasy teams benefit?

Start Alshon Jeffery as an Underdog

For this week's article, we will be discussing options for FanDuel's Big Game contest, which allows contestants to start five flex players.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 4.5-point underdogs against the New England Patriots. This is the Patriots' 700th straight appearance in the Super Bowl, or it at least feels that way. The Pats are rightfully favored but this could lead to some value for Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

Throughout his six-year career, Jeffery has done slightly better in games as an underdog per the Rotoviz Game Splits App.

It may not be the drastic difference that we usually look for when targeting players, but when you have just two teams to choose from, you gotta find any edge available. Jeffery has trended slightly better with the Eagles this season, as well.

Jeffery is priced at $12,500, which ranks fifth among all players on FanDuel this weekend. He is a safe play in all formats.
