3 Daily Fantasy Football Players to Avoid in Week 12
Jay Ajayi was expected to become the new lead back for the Philadelphia Eagles, but we instead find a messy three-back committee that's hard to trust in DFS.

Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears

FanDuel Price: $7,500

DraftKings Price: $6,000

Following a disappointing Week 10 outing against the Green Bay Packers, Jordan Howard bounced back nicely last week, putting up 125 yards and a touchdown against the Detroit Lions. Howard has seen solid volume the season, averaging 19.2 carries a game.

However, it's best to not click that add button in Week 12 in a brutal matchup against the Eagles. Philadelphia ranks ninth against the run, according to numberFire's schedule-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) metric, and has given up the fewest rushing yards in the league (71.0). Considering the Bears are also sitting as a double-digit underdog, the potential negative game script couldn't be any worse for Howard. Although he sees consistent carries, he's mostly a no-show in the passing game, making him extremely game script dependent. He's only averaging 1.4 receptions a game, and he hasn't seen a target in four of the last six contests.

Chicago is one of the run-heaviest teams in the league, but in a game they'll likely find themselves playing catch-up, Howard could have trouble staying on the field. Even in the last two weeks, when the Bears lost close games, Howard only saw 15 touches in each and played below 50% of the snaps.
